ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) on Thursday issued contempt of court notice to former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf in the Rental Power corruption case, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry heard the case.
The apex court in its remarks said that the former Prime Minister attempted to influence the court by writing a letter to it. The bench ordered Ashraf to appear before the court in person on the next hearing.
Later‚ the case was adjourned for two weeks.
