ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Islamabad administration has imposed the Section 144 and banned the pillion riding in the Federal Capital for two months on the eve of Muharram, according to a notification.

The first of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic Lunar Calendar, is likely to fall on September 1 while Ashura will be observed on September 10.
The Central Ruet-e-Hial Committee presided over by Mufti Munibur Rehman will meet on August 31 for sighting of Muharram moon.
