RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The security forces conducted an intelligence based operation (IBO) in Bahmbor mountainous area between Sibi and Kohlu in Balochistan, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

In its press release issued on Saturday, the ISPR said that the operation was conducted as part of the anti-terror Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad (RuF).

The ISPR said that during the IBO, caches of arms and ammunition including explosives, rockets, mines, and mortar ammunition were recovered.

Earlier on March 16, during an IBO conducted in Loralai area of Balochistan, the security forces killed four terrorists including two suicide bombers.

The Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad was launched by Pakistan army in February 2017, aiming at eliminating the threat of terrorism, and consolidating the gains of Operation Zarb-e-Azb which was launched in 2014 as a joint military offensive. It is further aimed at ensuring the security of Pakistan’s borders.
