PESHAWAR: The outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander Roohul Ameen was killed among two militants when security forces conducted an operation in Matni area of Peshawar on Thursday.
Police said that an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) was also killed during the clash between security forces and militant, while two other people sustained injuries.
According to sources, police and other law enforcement agencies kicked off a search operation in Matni and raided a house following a tip off regarding the presence of militants.
During the operation, terrorists opened fire on the security personnel, killing one cop and injuring two others.
