RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The security forces killed a terrorist belonging to banned outfit Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) near Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan City.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that thee exchange for fire between the security forces and terrorists took place during a routine sanitization operation in Luni Jungle, an area eight Kilometers south of Kulachi area of D.I. Khan.
The ISPR said that one terrorist affiliated with TTP (Naurang) was killed in exchange of fire. However, the ISPR added that three security forces personnel including Major Abbas, Captain Omer and Naik Adnan were also injured in exchange of fire with terrorists.
Furthermore, it said that during the search operation in the area, eight suspects were apprehended.
Last Monday, a Pakistan army Sepoy Waqas embraced Shahadat in Peshawar, two days after he sustained critical injuries in a cross border attack on a Pakistani Post in Khyber agency.
