PESHAWAR: A senior minister of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government Sikandar Sherpao has tendered his resignation from his post after the provincial government dismissed two cabinet members of the Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), to which he belongs, over corruption charges.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Wednesday removed three cabinet ministers over poor performance and corruption charges. Among those removed ministers, two belong to the Aftab Sherpao-led QWP – minister for Industries, Commerce & Labour Bakht Baidar, and minister for Environment Al Haj Ibrar Hussain.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led provincial government also decided to end alliance with the QWP.
