Earlier in the day, their lawyer Amjad Parvez filed a plea for exemption from appearance in the Court on their behalf. He argued that Shahbaz Sharif couldn’t appear before the Court because of his official engagements while Hamza Sharif had health issues.
Amjad Parvez argued the the FIA filed a malicious case and that no money was transacted into the account of Hamza Shahbaz.
The lawyer took the position that written arguments had also been submitted in the Court, and said that none of the FIA witnesses had mentioned the name of his clients. He alleged that the investigating officer tried to distort the statements of the witnesses.
