ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has agreed that a First Information Report (FIR) will be registered over the Model Town incident which claimed the lives of 14 Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) supporters in Lahore on June 17.
However, he refused to resign from his post, the media reports said citing sources in the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
The chief minister reportedly reached Islamabad earlier on Monday as his party leadership is holding discussions with the PAT to resolve the current political impasse.
