MUMBAI: Datta Nalawade, ex-Maharashtra speaker and Shiv Sena leader, died at a hospital on Friday after a prolonged illness, he was 77, a party official said.
Nalawade had been suffering from respiratory problems for quite some time. He breathed his last at the Jaslok Hospital at 1.30 AM, where he had been admitted a few days ago.
His last rites would be performed at a crematorium in Worli at 3 PM, official said.
