KARACHI, Pakistan: Sindh Assembly unanimously adopted the bill of “The Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development bill, 2016” and “The Sindh Companies Profits (Worker’s Participation) Bill, 2015 on Friday.
Another bill on “The Sindh Employees’ Old-Age Benefits (Amendment) Bill, 2016 was introduced in the session here at Sindh Assembly presided over by Speaker Agha Sirajul Durrani.
The Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Technology and Skill Development bill was moved by Senior Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro to set up the university at Khairpur.
On the occasion, Sindh Minister for Education and Parliamentary Affairs Nisar Ahmed Khuhro said that the bill was moved to set up the university of Technology and skills development.
The university would impart education to Youth of Sindh and also enhance the skills of youth, he said.
There are already about 40 government and private universities in the province and imparting education to youth, he added.
The report on The Sindh Companies Profits (Worker’s Participation) Bill was presented by Chairman of Sindh Assembly Standing Committee on Labour and Human Resources, Syed Khalid Ahmed in the house.
Later, the assembly adopted it unanimously.
MQM MPA Syed Khalid Ahmed said that no one would oppose the bill introduced in the house to set up university because everyone were supporting better education for our future generation.
He expressed concerns over the rise of corruption and bad governance in various departments of Sindh government.
