Sindh lawmakers adopts unanimous resolution against Sindh division

KARACHI, Pakistan: The Sindh Assembly on Thursday adopted a unanimous resolution against the division of the Sindh.

The ruling Pakistan People Party (PPP) lawmaker Sohail Anwar Sayal tabled the resolution in the provincial assembly, which says that Sindh has been one entity since centuries and will remain the same with existing boundaries in future as well.

The resolution says that Sindh is aged 5,000 years (B.C) old with its rich culture, civilization and language.  The resolution says that the Argons, Turkhans, Mongols and others who time by time came to this land merged themselves in the Sindh and its culture.

It says that Sindh has the distinction of being Bab-ul-Islam and foundation and creation of Pakistan was also came through resolution passed by this assembly.

Earlier, members belonging to opposition parties staged boycott from the House for not allowing them to table same kind of resolution in the House on the behalf of opposition.

Meanwhile, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) had already announced to boycott the session against the arrest of their workers by Sindh Rangers.
