RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The security forces on Monday carried out a Combing Operation in Thall area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and nabbed six abettors of terrorists.
In a statement, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that a huge cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered during the Combing raid.
The Combing Operations are being conducted by law enforcement agencies (LEAs) in various parts of the country after the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif during a Corps Commanders Conference in Rawalpindi on August 9 directed the Commanders and intelligence outfits to further intensify the Combing and Targeted Operations with full vigour to eliminate terrorists and sleeper cells.
Earlier on Sunday, the security forces apprehended 10 terrorists in Thall and also recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition.
Under the anti-terror national action plan, the LEAs have so far carried out 122,772 Combing Operations across the country including 21,087 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and arrested 142,335 suspects as per report issued on August 16.
