ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has strongly condemned the use of state machineries and unlawful detentions of peaceful protesters in various parts of the Country who were expressing solidarity and support for the war-ravaged and besieged Palestinians.

In a statement on Friday, the PTI Spokesperson termed the use of state machinery against the peaceful protestors as shameful.

The Spokesperson expressed his surprise that the citizens were being arrested for their sole crime to express solidarity and support for the oppressed Palestinians.

The PTI Spokesperson contended that there was no justification of the presence of police mobiles and prisoner vans at the PTI-designated places for peaceful protests. He lamented that undoubtedly, it was the continuation of the state coercive policy based on political revenge, which was lasting for the last 17 months.

The PTI Spokesperson said that the citizens have been deprived of their personal freedom by suspending the constitution and democracy in the country, adding that the rulers imposed on the country should be ashamed of arresting those protesting in favor of the oppressed Palestinian brothers.

Moreover, he went on to say that preventing the citizens from expressing solidarity and showing support for the people of the war-torn Palestine, who were suffering these atrocities for their just struggle of freedom, was in no way tolerable.

The PTI Spokesperson made it clear that PTI would not be intimidated and scared of this fascist behavior of the occupying rulers and would not back down from supporting their Palestinian brothers in this challenging time come what may.
