Special Eid package dispatched for TDPs of North Waziristan: ISPR

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: A special Eid package was dispatched for the temporarily displaced persons (TDPs) of the North Waziristan tribal region by 10 Corps Rawalpindi on Friday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

The relief activities are part of army’s consistent efforts to assist, rehabilitate and express solidarity with their countrymen in their hour of need.

The ISPR said that 10 trucks carrying 80 tons of ration that include flour, rice, sugar, lentils, cooking oil, dry milk and tea, were dispatched from Rawalpindi for the TDPs of North Waziristan agency.

The entire ration was voluntarily deposited by the residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi at collection points established by Pakistan army.

It is worth mentioning that it was fifth consignment dispatched by 10 Corps for the TDPs of North Waziristan agency, the ISPR said.

The Pakistan military’s media wing said that a total of 700 tons of relief goods have been dispatched by Rawalpindi Corps so far.
