Islamabad, Pakistan: Iranian intelligence has credible information about possible actions of Jandullah terrorists group in Pakistan and it was one of the reasons that compelled the Iranian government on Saturday to close its border with Pakistan for five days, believed diplomatic circles in Islamabad.

It may be mentioned that the banned Jundullah group and Jamaat-ul-Ahrar accepted responsibility for the blast near Wagah border that killed 52 persons including 3 Rangers guards on Sunday evening at the time when people were coming out from arena after watching Indo-Pak flag ceremony that is a regular feature on Indi-Pak border.
Jundullah is a terrorist outfit that was developed in Iranian Baluchistan allegedly by some gulf countries. Junduallah spread from Iran to Pakistan after Pakistan started war on terror in 2001. Jundullah planned an unsuccessful life attempt on former President Gen ® Musharraf in Karachi.
Diplomatic circles in Islamabad believe that Iranian intelligence that is now active at both sides of Pak-Iran border had credible information that Jundullah is again in position to strike within Pakistan or on Pak-Iran border and that was the reason that Iran closed border with Pakistan to avoid occurrence of any untoward incident during the observance of Ashura-e-Muharram. Iranian border authorities informed their Pakistani counterparts about the decision of the Iranian government.
