KARACHI: A suicide bomber blew himself near Ranger’s headquarter in Karachi’s Nazimabad area on Wednesday, killing at least two persons and injuring several others.
The explosion occurred when a suicide bomber tried to enter the Ranger’s headquarter but as he was stopped by the security personnel at the gate, he detonated his explosives.
Earlier in the morning, at least four persons were injured in two consecutive blasts in the same area of the city.
The officials said that unknown miscreants riding motorbikes hurled a hand grenade on a patrolling vehicle of Rangers in Nazimabad near Board Office, leaving three security personnel injured.
A second blast occurred minutes after the first blast near the scene where police, rescue teams and paramilitary Rangers were shifting the injured to hospital. A rescue official sustained injuries in the second blast.
