ISLAMABAD: A summary has been moved to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for the appointment of Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), the premier will decide the appointment on October 6, the sources said.
The sources said that names of Pakistan Navy’s admiral Asif Sandila, Army’s Lt General Haroon Aslam and Air chief marshal Tahir Rafique Butt from Air Force have been recommended in the summary.
The slot is given to the officers of all three forces on their turn, however, Pakistan Army retain this post since 1997, sources added.
