ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Lambasting the federal government, the former Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani has alleged that the Finance Supplementary (Second Amendment Bill) 2019 has been prepared to fulfill the interests of big business houses.
In a statement on Friday, Raza Rabbani said that the economic policy of the incumbent government can be understood while keeping in view the general elections 2018. He alleged that the big business houses used their financial resources in support of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) during the election campaign.
Raza Rabbani said that Abraaj and Dawood spent money for the election campaign of the present government.
The Senator said that keeping in view the interests of big business houses, the supplementary budget has been prepared.
The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) stalwart said that the PTI government is violating the Constitution. He said that it would be wrong to say that the present government is doing everything by itself.
Raza Rabbani said that the amnesty scheme of the government will benefit the politicians imported from abroad.
Economic reforms package to help boost exports, trade & investment: Qureshi
Meanwhile talking to media in Mir Pur Khan, the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the economic reforms package announced by the government will help boost exports, trade and investment.
The minister said that the package will prove to be a milestone in overcoming the trade and fiscal deficit. He said that housing sector, medium and small industrial and agricultural sectors have been encouraged in the package to create employment opportunities in the Country.
