Monitoring Desk: Uzbekistan and India decide to deepen their strategic partnership.
External Affairs Minister of India Sushma Swaraj has concluded her visit of Central Asia where she held meetings with her counterparts in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
According to the Presidential Office of Uzbekistan, India offered full support for the large-scale reforms and transformations carried out in Uzbekistan aimed at ensuring the accelerated socio-economic development of the country, improving the level and quality of life of the population was confirmed.

External Affairs Minister of India Sushma Swaraj held an important meeting with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on August 5, 2018 and official statement released by the Presidential Office stated Sushma Swaraj noted the commitment of her country to further strengthen strategic partnership with the Republic of Uzbekistan.
It was decided that both the countries would work for further expansion and deepening of full-scale cooperation, primarily in trade, economic, investment, innovation, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
It is pertinent to mention that External Affairs Minister of India Sushma Swaraj started her four-day three-nation visit from Kyrgyzstan on August 3 and then Kazakhstan and ended her tour at Uzbekistan.
In Kazakhstan, she held meetings with her Kazakhstani counterpart Kairat Abdrakhmanov and Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Bakytzhan Sagintayev. Kazakh Foreign Minister Kairat Abdrakhmanov and Swaraj held a joint presser in which they Abdrakhmanov stated that extensive and productive talks were held between the two foreign ministers.
It is pertinent to mention that Swaraj held important talks with Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov in Bishkek where India offered to support Kyrgyzstan in the sphere of information and communication technologies and capacity building of local government system of Kyrgyzstan.
