LAHORE, Pakistan: The Ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan Jononov Sherali has said that his country wants to promote durable economic and business relations with Pakistan.
In a meeting with the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore on Saturday, the Tajik envoy discussed ways to boost bilateral ties and extend cooperation in various sectors.
On the occasion, the Punjab Chief Minister said that Pakistan and Tajikistan enjoy friendly ties.
The Chief Minister said that maximum exchange of trade and business delegations will help improve bilateral economic ties.
Separately, the Afghan Ambassador Hazrat Omar Zakhilwal also held a meeting with Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore and discussed matters of mutual interest, ways to boost bilateral relations and cooperation in various sectors.
While talking to the Afghan envoy, Shahbaz Sharif said that both Pakistan and Afghanistan are standing with each other on the journey for peace. He said that peace in Afghanistan is as essential as in Pakistan.
Shahbaz Sharif said that joint efforts by Pakistan and Afghanistan are required to curb the menace of terrorism.
The Punjab Chief Minister also stressed the need for measures to enhance trade and further expand economic and financial relations between the two countries.
