OTTAWA, Canada: The High Commissioner of Pakistan to Canada Tariq Azim Khan has said that the bilateral trade has been doubled during the last two years, and there is still a lot of potential to enhance it further.
Talking to the Speaker of Canadian Senate George Furey in Ottawa on Thursday to exchange views on overall relations between Pakistan and Canada, the High Commissioner briefed him on the security situation in the region and the latest economic developments in Pakistan that provided an excellent opportunities for foreign direct investment.
The Speaker while welcoming the High Commissioner said that the democratic institutions of the two Counties should benefit from bilateral and commonwealth related exchanges.
George Furey also appreciated the role of Pakistani diaspora in this multi-cultural society. He expressed the hope that the friendly relations between the two Countries would continue to deepen in the future.
