Tashkent International Tourism Fair 2014 (TITF 2014)

Tashkent, Uzbekistan: Tashkent International Tourism Fair 2014 (TITF 2014) started here on Monday. Â Three-day festival is spread over two halls of Uzexpocenter Tashkent where over 300 stalls of international and national tourism companies are greeting visitors.
An impressive official opening was held in Hall IÂ that was attended by the Chairman “Uzbektourism” Farrukh Rizaeva, Deputy Minister of Tourism of Turkey Abdurrahman Arizhi and artist Lekim Ibragimov.
Traditional Uzbek dances and music was main attraction for foreigners as Uzbek men and women wearing colourful costumes welcomed guests outside main hall and kept beating drums and dancing at both sides of path way leading to Expo entrance. Uzbek Railways, Uzbek Air and Uzbek Tourism stall were offering traditional fruits and dry fruits to guests and were main points of attraction.
The biggest international stall has been placed by Turkey where a large number of Turkish companies are busy in B2B activities.
This year Fair is expecting more than 300 exhibitors, and the total number of participants will be more than 120 000 people from more than 40 countries.
TITF is not only the gathering of professionals of tourism, but also the guests who are interested in the touristic destinations of Uzbekistan. According to the expectations of the organizers, TITF become a platform, which will be signed lucrative contracts to increase the tourist flow between the participating countries.
The main business activity TITF 2014 will be a completely new project for Uzbekistan – «Hosted buyers / professional buyer.” Guests invited to advance within the «Hosted buyers», present tourist potential of all regions of the country.
Tashkent International Tourism Fair 2014 or 20th Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” is one of the most anticipated events of the tourism industry of the Central Asian region. Thousands of professionals have gathered at one place, from Uzbekistan and all its regions, as well as from all over the world.
TITF rightly recognized as a business platform for the promotion of tourist products and establishing business contacts. Fair allows the world’s leading experts to share experiences, discuss topical issues of tourism, present new opportunities as well as to participate in research programs undertaken in the framework of the Fair.
