Ten more killed as violence in the city continues

KARACHI: Ten more people including activists of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Bengali Action Committee (BAC) lost their lives as violence continued to rage in the city on Wednesday, dispatch news desk (DND) reported on 07 November, 2012.

According to SHO Ghulam Nabi Afridi, two PPP activists were gunned down near the Nishan-e-Haider Chowk, Pakistan Bazaar when four men riding two motorcycles arrived there and opened fire on them.

Manghopir Sub-Divisional Police Officer Najamul Hassan said the body of an MQM activist was found lying in bushes in Gulshan-e-Zia in the morning.

In another incident of violence, a BAC activist was gunned down in Surjani Town when two men riding a motorcycle shot him, said SHO Irshad Gabol said Abdul Hanaan. Likewise, two men, suspected to be Lyari-based gangsters, were shot dead in Samoo Goth, Memon Goth.

While two men on a motorcycle shot a practitioner of herbal medicine outside Ayesha Unani Dawakhana in Raja Tanveer Colony, Iqbal Market. An electronics trader was shot dead and his two brothers injured near KDA Chowrangi, North Nazimabad.

In another incident, a scrap dealer was shot dead near Ghani Chowrangi. While, a man was shot dead near al Habib Masjid, Sector 15B of Pakistan Bazaar at night.
