PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that a major terror bid was foiled in Mohmand agency by the security agencies on Wednesday.

In a statement, the ISPR said that the security agencies had the intelligence about intrusion of suicide bombers from Afghanistan inside Mohmand agency.

The ISPR said that one suicide bomber blew himself up once spotted and challenged by security agencies at the gate of Political Administration Office while other was shot by the sentries at the gate.

It further said that search of area was being carried out.

On the other hand, sources said that a suicide attack took place in Ghalanai Tehsil of Mohmand agency today which left three Levies Force personnel martyred while one injured.

Sources said that a suicide bomber tried to enter a Housing Colony of the local Political Administration. But when he was stopped in this attempt by Levies personnel, the militant blew himself up outside the central gate of the Colony.

Earlier on Monday, a suicide blast on Lahore’s Mall road caused massive casualties as 15 persons were martyred while more than 100 others injured.
