ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) would train its 2,955 teachers during the current for enhancing their professional skills, Chairperson TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said.
Chairing a meeting, he said 2,055 in-service male, female teachers, 900 newly inducted teachers and Principals would be imparted training.
Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that TEVTA teachers would be trained in 86 batches. The training would be conducted at Govt Staff Training College Lahore, Faisalabad, Murree and other TEVTA Institutes, said a press release.
He said 2,441 male and female TEVTA teachers had been trained during last year through its different Teachers Training Program.
During the current calendar year, the teachers would be trained in new industry demand driven course including Auto CAD, Coral Draw, Financial Implications, English Language, Soft Skills, Skill Up Gradation in all technical subjects, Institutional Management, Fashion Designing, Cooking, Personal Grooming, Industrial orientation, Web designing, Call center training, Mobile Repairing, T.V. and A.C. repairing & servicing, Baking and Confectionery, Housekeeping etc.
As per requirement of new curricula TEVTA would arrange the training of its teachers in different industrial organizations, he concluded.
