BANGKOK: The Thailand’s army on Friday banned 155 prominent figures including ousted government leaders Yingluck Shinawatra and Niwattumrong Boonsongpaisan from leaving the country without permission.
The development came a day after the army chief General Prayuth Chan-ocha announced that the armed forces have seized control of the government, adding that the act was necessary to restore stability after months of political deadlock and turmoil.
