Three Generations of Women Demand Freedom—-This is Indian Occupied Kashmir through Lenses of Masrat Zahra

This click of award-winning photojournalist of Indian Occupied Kashmir Masrat represents daughter, mother, and grandmother walking through an empty market with shutter-down shops.

One can read the word Azadi (Freedom) sprayed on one of the downed shutters.

Masrat Zahra has been an inspiration for IoK women as a brave lady contesting the illegal writ of the Indian government in the caged Occupied Valley of Kashmir.

She is facing a case of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) for indulging in “anti-national activities” on social media. Police have accused of uploading anti-national posts [on Facebook] with criminal intentions to induce the youth.

The only crime of Masrat Zahra is to document Iok situation through her camera lenses.

Every journalist who tries to expose Indian brutalities in IoK is now persecuted under BJP rule.

In her interview to BBC after registration of a case against her, Masrat Zahra said that as a photojournalist it is her duty to cover reality around her and she is a victim of her work. She said that Journalism is not Crime.

Would the world come forward and tell the Indian government that Journalism is not Crime?
