ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A large number of tourists especially from the urban areas of Punjab and Karachi thronged hilly areas murree and its adjoining areas to enjoy the weather.
Hundreds of tourists from different parts of the country visited Murree and hilly areas.
The resorts including Bhurban, New Murree, Kashmir Point, Pindi Point, Mall Road and Ayubia were packed with tourists.
Ayesha Khan said,”My family had a good experience to enjoy the Murree hills on a chairlift to see whole Murree on the top.”
All restaurants were packed with tourists meanwhile, according to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), fresh westerly wave was affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist during the current week.
Cloudy weather conditions were expected in most upper parts of the country.
However light rain- thunderstorm (with snowfall over the hills) is expected at isolated places of Malakand, Hazara divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas.
Cold and dry weather is expected in other parts of the country.

Talking to APP, an official of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) said this year PTDC had witnessed sharp increase the tourists visited several hilly areas almost double increase comparatively from the previous year.
