ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam on Friday inaugurated the well-preserved and naturally beautiful “Zigzag Trail 4” of Margalla Hills National Park in Islamabad.

The 8-kilometer Trail 4 is the most well-preserved trail and has the most wildlife. It is now officially open to the public so they can enjoy hiking and trekking.

On Thursday, the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) Protection Committee Head visited the Trail 4 and directed the staff about trail opening and facilities for tourists.

Earlier on January 13, the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat banned tree cutting leading to the loss of habitat, garbage throwing/littering, and polluting water at the Margalla Hills National Park.

Therefore, anyone littering in Margalla Hills National Park will be fined or sent to jail.

The ban has been imposed under Section 144 Cr.PC 1898 for a period of two months.
