ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso has said that transparent, free and fair polls will be held on May 11.
The Interim Prime Minister said in his TV address to the nation this evening that caretaker regime will make all arrangements for upcoming general elections in the country.
PM Khoso paid gratitude to God for rendering him this duty of running caretaker regime of the country and arranging for the polls on May 11.
‘The Election Commission is fully autonomous and capable to make all arrangements for holding free anf fair polls in the country, added PM Khoso.
Every possible arrangement is being made including deployment of army troops in sensitive areas and formation of rapid action force in other parts for holding smooth and safe polls on May 11, said PM Khoso.
He said while commenting over the ongoing power load shedding in the country that power crisis is a very troubling issue of the country and this is why the caretaker regime has decided to tackle it without any delay.
The Finance Ministry has been instructed to immediately issue 45 billion rupees for clearing circular debt of the power producing companies to boost production of the electricity in the country, PM Khoso informed.
While talking of upcoming fiscal budget, PM Khoso said that the Finance Ministry has been instructed to prepare a people’s friendly budget for the next fiscal year and no extra burden should be put on the poor public.
The additional spending and unnecessary expenses should be avoided; goal oriented positive allocations of funds should be made sure in the upcoming fiscal budget of 2013-14, he added.
PM Khoso paid tribute to political parties and their workers for taking part and initiating political activities for the polls on May 11.
He said in his address that the interim regime has opposed any extension in its tenure for any reason in the country.
Caretaker PM Khoso vowed that the interim regime would complete its task of holding free and fair polls, on May 11, with complete devotion and zeal.
