Kabul, Afghanistan: Despite the announcement of ceasefire, fighting between government troops and Taliban has not only intensified rather spread over to several provinces.
According to media reports, Taliban claim that government troops tried to take advantage of announced truce for one week and attacked extensively on Taliban’s positions and such attacks were repulsed and then Taliban advanced to several places.
“Now flights are continuing in Farah, Faryab, Ghazni and Badakhshan provinces. There are higher number of causalities of government troops”, claimed sources from Kabul.
Meanwhile, pro-government TOLONews confirmed through official sources that that 30 plus soldiers of government forces were killed in six provinces on Wednesday.
“Sar-e-Pul and Ghazni provinces are under heavy attacks from Taliban”, confirmed official sources. Governor of Sar-e-Pul Mohammad Zahir Wahdat while talking to official media confirmed that reinforcements were sent to Sayyed district to push Taliban back to mountains.
Reports from Ghazni suggest that fight is going on between Taliban and government troops in and around Muqur district.
“Northern Province of Badakhshan at the border of Tajikistan is half fallen and half contested”, claimed propaganda sources of Taliban but no confirmation is received from independent sources.
It is pertinent to mention that civil war is spread all over Afghanistan again this summer and Taliban are consolidating their positions in Farah, Faryab, Ghazni and Badakhshan.
