On February 25, at least 30 militants were killed when the army launched air strikes targeting militant hideouts mainly in the Shawal valley and Dattakhel areas of North Waziristan tribal region.
“The militants had captured a stretch between South Waziristan and North Waziristan and had established training centres where they were also preparing suicide bombers,” an unnamed military official had said.
