ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Twitter Social Media Platform has suspended account of known but controversial social media hawk who had been handling Official Social Media Team (SMT) of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in past Farhan Khan Virk.
The Twitter account of Farhan Khan Virk was also suspended in past when several Twitter users reported against him. However, account was reactivated thereafter. Now his account has again been suspended.
It may be mentioned that in April 2019, PTI Official Social Media Team announced detachment from Farhan Virk due to allegation against him to defame former Finance Minister Asad Umar.
In a statement, the Head of PTI Social Media Team Department Muhammad Kamran said that PTI Official Social Media Team has no connection with Farhan Virk, and added that media should refrain from presenting unofficial and unauthorized individuals as the PTI Official SMT
