ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: In continuation of violation of ceasefire understanding reached with Pakistan in 2003, Indian army resorted to unprovoked intense fire in Satwal and Nikial Sectors along the Line of Control (LoC).

The Indian army indiscriminately targeting civilian population in Tetrinote, Manwa, Satwal and Balakot villages, and injured a six-year old girl Aiqa Ramzan as well as 45-year old Sikandar Hussain resident/of village Lanjot.

Besides, the Indian army also targeted Rawalkot Poonch Crossing Point (RPCP) and the visitors’ stand at RPCP, said a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

However, Pakistan army responded the enemy fire in a professional and befitting manner, silenced enemy guns and caused considerable damage to the posts carrying out fire.

The IPSR said that targeting civilians will not deter Kashmiri people from their just struggle against Indian oppression. It said that Pakistan army reserves the right to respond to ceasefire violations at the place and time of its own choosing.
