KOHAT: At least three persons were killed and five other injured in a bomb blast which took place outside a mosque in Kohat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kohat district on Thursday.
The bomb was planted in a motorcycle parked outside the mosque in Kacha Pakka area on Kohat’s Hangu road, Police officials said.
They said the bomb exploded just as worshipers were coming out of the mosque after offering Zuhr prayers.
The injured were shifted to the district headquarters hospital, where officials said the condition of some of the wounded was critical.
The powerful explosion also damaged nearby shops. Security personnel cordoned off the area and started investigation into the incident.
