ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Ministry of Human Rights arranged an online essay writing competition for children as part of the celebrations of the Universal Children’s Day.
The Universal Children’s Day is commemorated each year on November 20 to mark the anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Child (CRC).
The online essay writing competition was organized for children from 7 to 15 years of age on the topic ‘Write for Rights’ with the word limit of 200 words.
The children all across Pakistan were encouraged to share their entries in Urdu and English language through the Ministry of Human Rights’ social media handles.
The competition was announced on November 5 and the deadline for the submission of entries was November 12, 2020.
The ministry received over 300 entries from all over Pakistan in Urdu and English language.
All the entries were reviewed by the review committee and the names of 15 winners were announced on the Ministry of Human Rights’ social media handles and the official website on November 20.

The Ministry of Human Rights will mail prizes to the winners and certificates to all the participants of the competition.
