ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The US Senators Maggie Hassan and Chris Van Hollen met Prime Minister Imran Khan at the PM Office in Islamabad on Monday.
The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant for Overseas Pakistanis Sayed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari and the Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood were also present in the meeting.
During the meeting, the prime minister expressed gratitude the US Congressmen for their support for Kashmir cause.
Imran Khan said that Narendra Modi has distorted the face of India in front of the entire world. He said that it’s not that India, which he saw while growing up.
The prime minister said that now India is heading towards Hindi Supremacy. He cautioned that a nuclear war between the two arch-rivals could cause serious consequences for the entire world.
In addition, the prime minister ruled out the resumption of bilateral talks with India unless New Delhi normalizes the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier on Sunday, the US Senators along with their staffers and the US Chargé d’Affaires Ambassador Paul Jones visited Muzaffarabad to see the ground situation and gauge public sentiment following the 5th August illegal Indian actions in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
