Uzbek delegation took part in the official opening of the International Tourism Fair «FITUR-2013″ in Madrid. During the ceremony, national stand “Uzbekistan” have been visited by the Crown Prince of Asturias, Felipe and his wife Princess Letizia, accompanied by the UNWTO Secretary-General T. Rifai, Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism of Spain H.M.Soriya, Secretary of State for Tourism of Spain M.Borrego and other official persons.

According to the protocol Fitur, Crown Royal couple visited about 20 of the 607 exhibition stands. The pavilion Asia (80 booths) Prince separately visited only several stands, including stands of China, Japan and Uzbekistan. During the conversation, the Crown Prince was briefed on the main areas of bilateral cooperation. Held a brief exchange of views on further cooperation in tourism.

In the afternoon, with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Spain, at the national stand of Uzbekistan hosted a presentation of the Festival of Traditional Culture “Asrlar Sadosi” which caused great interest of foreign participants and visitors.
