ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Citizens aged 40 and above, having registered themselves, will be able to walk into any Vaccination Center from Wednesday (May 12, 2021) onwards to get inoculated against COVID-19.

“Starting tomorrow the 12th of May all 40 plus who have registered will be able to walk into any vaccination center of their choice and get vaccinated,” the Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar said in a Tweet on Tuesday.

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) opened up the registration of Citizens of over 40 years for the COVID-19 vaccination program on May 27, 2021.

Asad Umar also said that Vaccination Centres across the Country are open and they will be closed only for two days on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr.

“Please note that vaccination centres are open and will only be closing for two days on Eid,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, 113 more COVID-19 patients passed away while 3,084 new infections surfaced across the Country in the last 24 hours.

In the last 24 hours, 67 patients died in Punjab, 29 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 11 in Sindh, 5 in Balochistan, and 1 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).

So far a total of 864,557 Coronavirus Cases have been detected in the Country. Out of them, 320,851 Cases have been recorded in Punjab, 293,426 in Sindh, 124,979 in KPK, 78,382 in ICT, 23,534 in Balochistan, 17,984 in AJK, and 5,401 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Whereas 19,106 people have so far died of Coronavirus in the Country including 9,125 in Punjab, 4,753 in Sindh, 3,644 in KPK, 716 in ICT, 508 in AJK, 253 in Balochistan, 107 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
