ISLAMABAD: Weather remained very hot and dry in most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. However‚ isolated rain occurred at scattered place of Malakand division and Gilgit-Baltistan, according to Pakistan Metrological Department.
It says scattered dust-storm with isolated rain is expected in Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Gujranwala,Lahore divisions) , upper Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (Malakanad, Hazara and Peshawar divisions), Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 24 hours. Hot & dry weather is expected in other parts of the country.
However‚ heat wave conditions are likely to subside in upper and central parts of the country from on Saturday.
On Saturday, plans areas of the country remained in the gripe of heat wave. As the result Mercury rosed to 49 centigrade at Noorpur Thal‚ 48 at Mohenjo-Daro and 47 in Larakana‚ Bhakkar‚ Dadu and Shaheed Benazirabad.
The maximum temperature of some major cities: Islamabad and Peshawar 41 Celsius‚ Lahore 44‚ Karachi 35‚ Peshawar 43‚ Quetta 34‚ Muzaffarabad 36‚ Gilgit 23 and Murree 28 Celsius.
