ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said that work on the mega Ravi City project, which would have the world’s largest waterfront, was steadily progressing.

In a Twitter statement on Monday, he revealed that the work was progressing on Ravi city, which has $40 billion investment portfolio.

The Chairman PTI said that the project would accommodate 15 million people and would be Pakistan’s first green and smart city.

Imran Khan stated that vertical riverfront development provided range of opportunities for international and national investors. He said that Ravi City would have world’s largest waterfront including three barrages conserving 270 billion litres of water for much needed aquifer of Lahore.

“Rakh Jhok, initiated last years, is part of 5000 acres of reforestation environment plan. Embankments will be built with innovative method of using natural soil to prevent flooding,” he added.
