RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The World Environment Day will be observed around the globe including in Pakistan on Tuesday (June 5) under the theme “Beating Plastic Pollution”.
The World Environment Day is the United Nations’ most important day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment.
In connection with the day, Indus Consortium in collaboration with Oxfam will be distributing cloth bags among general public at CSD in Rawalpindi Cantt in order to raise public awareness and widely spread the campaign’s message “If you can’t reuse it, refuse it”.
The CSD Head Major General Muhammad Tahir will be the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The civil society representative and students of various universities will be the volunteer mobilisers in the event.
