LORALAI, Pakistan: The Federal Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan has said that the enemies of Pakistan were behind the terrorists activities in Balochistan and world was eying on natural resources of province.

“Balochistan is rich in natural resources and the world has been eying on them. Enemies of Pakistan are behind the terrorists and anti-peace elements in Balochistan, he said that while addressing the ceremony held in connection with the passing out parade of 75th batch of Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan in Loralai on Saturday.

However, he said that the government and security forces would foil the nefarious designs of enemies and terrorists.

“We, however, will foil their nefarious designs to maintain peace and order,” he said.

The minister recalled that few years back, there was a concept that Pakistan national flag could not be hoisted in Balochistan, adding that but now peace had been restored and the National Flag was being hoisted in the province.

“The war on terror is not only war against terrorism but it is war of Islam and Pakistan,” he added.

Nisar said that officers and personnel of FC Balochistan who belonged to different parts of the country including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Punjab provinces would have to love local people of Balochistan by behaving them politely.

“The officials and personnel will not have only to win the war on terror but they will also have to win the hearts of local people of Balochistan,” Nisar said.

The interior minister said that peace was restored in Balochistan with the sacrifices of officers and personnel of FC, adding that they would have to continue their role in this regard.

While appreciating the efforts of FC Balochistan, he said that FC was also imparting education to children and providing medical facilities to people of Balochistan.

“The security and sovereignty of Pakistan and Balochistan links with peace. We will have to protect every inch of Pakistan and Balochistan,” he added.

Nisar said that people of Balochistan were patriot and brave who also played a pivotal role in restoration of peace in their province.

In addition, he said that 650 officials and personnel of FC martyred in the line of duty.

“I pay tributes to martyrs, IG FC and their team who played a remarkable role for achieving goal of restoring peace,” he said.

The ceremony was attended by Inspector General FC Balochistan Major General Sher Afgun, parliamentarians and tribal elders.
