ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The World Tourism Day is being observed in Pakistan as elsewhere in the world on Saturday under the theme “Tourism Day and Community Development”.
The day is observed annual on September 27 with an aim to raise awareness on the role of tourism within the international community and to demonstrate how it affects social, cultural, political and economic values worldwide.
In his message on the occasion, President Mamnoon Hussain said that Pakistan, which is blessed with rich natural as well as man-made cultural treasures, offers huge variety and diversity for the tourists across the world. He said that he was pleased to learn that Pakistan was joining the international community in celebrating the World Tourism Day.
The president said that besides providing an opportunity to explore natural as well as man-made beauties and wonders of this world, tourism could play a vital role towards community development.
Pakistan is a destination that has so much to offer tourists; Peaks, Mountains and Hill Stations, Historical Places, Shrines & Mystical Places, Famous Mosques, Famous Lakes, parks and many more to discover.
