PESHAWAR: As military operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ continues in the tribal areas, at least 17 more militants were killed when Pakistani jets pounded militant hideouts in the Dargamandi and Chashma Gaon areas of the North Waziristan tribal region late on Friday, officials said on Saturday.
“Jet fighters bombarded militant hideouts, killing 17 rebels and destroying their six compounds,” a foreign news agency quoted a senior security official as saying.
Since June 15 when the operation was launched by the Pakistan army, nearly 370 militants and 12 security personnel have reportedly been killed.
