Quetta hits again by terrorists: Attack outside Al-Khair Hospital Zarghoon road
Quetta, Pakistan: Terrorists planted a bomb at Zarghoon Road Quetta outside Al-Khair Hospital near flyover that injured at least six persons including four policemen.
However, hospital sources claim that 14 injured have been received by hospital including four in very critical conditions.
Initial reports suggest that attack took place near a police van but prime target of terrorists was a senior judge of a Anti-Terrorism Court who escape from attack unhurt.
Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti who reached the spot and he was briefed by police about the incident said that blast was an attempt to stop people of Baluchistan to celebrate Independence Day that would be held on August 14.
Talking to Dispatch News Desk (DND), Home Minister Baluchistan Sarfaraz Bugti confirmed that a Police Vehicle was targeted in this attack while a vehicle of a local Judge was also passing through the site when the blast took place.
He was of the view that Police and FC are being targeted by terrorists and 3 to 4 kg explosives were used in blast.
Prime Minister Pakistan Mian Nawaz Sharif has called an immediate report about the blast and Interior Minister Ch. Nisar to follow the development and keep him in picture.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Sanaullah Zehri strongly condemned Quetta blast. He ordered concerned authorities to submit report about blast immediately.
Security and intelligence agencies were strongly criticized by people on social media after attack at Zarghoon Road and attack became trending on social media just after 10 minutes of blast news came on electronic media.
It may be mentioned that Zarghoon Road Quetta is known as a place for Banks, university and important business houses.
An eyewitness claimed that he heard a loud explosion and there was dust cloud over the area. Security forces rushed the area and all roads leading to this busy road have been closed down.
Reports suggested that bomb was planted in a motorcycle parked outside Al-Khair Hospital near flyover that is a known private hospital.
Conflicting reports suggest at least four persons were in critical condition when they were shifted to hospital.
This is a second terror attack in last four days as a suicide bombing killed over 72 persons mostly advocates of court inside hospital on Monday.
Blast took place almost same time when top civil and military leadership were chairing a special meeting of National Action Plan (NAP) in Islamabad to deal with terrorism in the country.
It may be mentioned that all four chief ministers of provinces, Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and Chief of the Army Staff Gen. Raheel Sharif are holding a special meeting in Islamabad to chalk out a strategy to take further actions against terrorism though operation Zarb-e-Azb successfully cleaned tribal areas during the last two years. Operation was started against terrorism in June 2014 that brought relevant peace in the country but terrorists are still striking places of their choice.
Pakistan believes that Indian intelligence agency RAW is behind terrorism in Pakistan that is collaborating with Afghan intelligence agency NDS to destabilise Pakistan.
It may be mentioned that Jihadism was nurtured by Pakistani establishment during Aghan war in early 80s and now this country is facing extremism and Jihadi forces are trying to defeat regular army of the country.
