ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul has urged the opposition parties not to do politics on the billion tree tsunami project at a time when world donors are ready to provide funding in the countrywide 10 billion tsunami project.
While addressing a Press Conference in Islamabad on Monday, Zartaj Gul asked the media to personally visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to witness the success of the billion tree tsunami project.
The state minister also challenged the opposition parties to visit the plantation sites along with her to ascertain the facts.

Change Zartaj Gul emphatically stated that billion tree tsunami project was implemented in transparent manner in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She said that the project launched in 2014 was estimated to be completed at a cost of Rs 22 billion.
However, she added, that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government completed the project in Rs 12 billion and thus saved Rs 10 billion.
Zartaj Gul said that the project also received global recognition from Bonn Challenge, World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the World Economic Forum (WEC).
