GENEVA: At least 1,075 people mostly civilians have been killed in Iraq during the month of June, the United Nations human rights monitors said on Tuesday.
The spokesman Rupert Colville told reporters in Geneva that 757 civilians were killed in Nineveh, Diyala and Salah al-Din provinces from June 5 to June 22.
Colville said that 318 people were killed during the same time in Baghdad and areas in southern Iraq.
