As many as 112 people were killed in 20 train-related accidents in last five years whereas from 2013 to 2017, a total of 304 train accidents took place; however, all inquiries initiated to probe those incidents remained incomplete, sources said on Thursday.
Sources further said that in last 22 years, 1094 train-related accidents were reported.
Meanwhile, three persons lost their lives when the Lahore-bound Jinnah Express collided with a freight train at Makki Shah Railway Crossing near Hyderabad Railway Station. Three bogies of the train derailed and struck the nearby houses.
The Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed told media that the deceased included both drivers of Jinnah Express and one guard.
In the incident, several persons also received injuries.

The Medical Superintendent (MS) Civil Hospital Hyderabad Dr Mobeen told that two dead bodies and one injured person have been brought in the hospital. He said that seven ambulances have been sent to the accident spot.
Sheikh Rasheed also told that an inquiry into the incident has been ordered.
A Railway Employee said that the reason behind the collision has yet to be ascertained. He told that all signals were automatic.
