MIRAMSHAH: At least 17 people were killed in US drones attack on a residential compound and a vehicle in North Waziristan Agency late on Tuesday night.
The drone fired four missiles on the house near Miramshah bazaar in Sirai Darpakhel area, targeting the residential compound and a vehicle. As a result, 17 people were killed, whereas two others were injured in the attack, sources said.
Intelligence sources confirmed the death toll, adding that a key militant leader had been targeted whose identity was not yet known.
